שֶׁקֶר sheqer, sheh’-ker; from H8266; an untruth; by implication, a sham (often adverbial):—without a cause, deceit (-ful), false (-hood, -ly), feignedly, liar, lie, lying, vain (thing), wrongfully (Strongs H8267). Frpm From שָׁקַר (H8266) shâqar, shaw-kar’; a primitive root; to cheat, i.e. be untrue (usually in words):—fail, deal falsely, lie.
